The  Biblical  TALENT Version in Spanish   Go to Spanish
EXCELLENT PHRASES If there is one lesson the believer must learn, it is the one taught in Romans 8: that the law, the flesh and self-effort are all utterly useless in enabling us to serve God. It is the Spirit within that leads us into the liberty through which Christ has made us free.

Dear Reader,

You must surely have already discovered that our life with God is never still. I sometimes think of it like the waves of the oceans.

At times small beautiful white waves roll on the beaches, with a fresh soft breeze blowing over them; other times strong roaring winds crush the shores with fierce foamy tons of water. And it is always the same sea.

Those differences cause us distress, but He said: "The Spirit breathes where He desires, and you hear His voice, but you do not know from where He comes, and where He goes; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit".

Sometimes we cry: Lord! Do You not care that we perish? Other times it is: Alas! There is no wind. Do we have to row?

Let us establish our confidence in Him. Not a breeze or too stormy? He knows best; and it is not only that all things around His Children are under His control -they have also been allowed by Him for some good purpose, although that might be momentarily hidden from us.

If we believe that we are "born of the Spirit", let us faithfully have our sails always prepared for God's wind to blow in them as He wishes. He knows what He is doing.

May the Lord shine His countenance upon you,

  Angel Tarnowski
